5 key questions you probably want to ask about Botox

Botox will remove any unwanted fine lines and wrinkles

There is always an increase in the number of Botox treatment bookings within the cosmetic industry at the turn of any year, and here at Allure Aesthetics Ltd, anti-wrinkle injections happen to be one of our most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatments. We often receive enquiries about the treatment from clients all over South Wales, as people who are interested in Botox naturally want to know a little more about the highly effective and versatile aesthetic procedure.

For that reason, we've decided to come up with this quick-fire post outlining 5 key questions that our clients ask when it comes to receiving Botox injections at our bespoke specialist skin and laser clinic in Abergavenny, South Wales.

And fear not - we're not only outlining the questions; we're obviously answering them, too!

1. Who will be performing the Botox injections on me? At Allure, your treatment will be carried out by myself. I am a fully qualified independent nurse prescriber, and a highly experienced injector, having notched up 6 years of extensive experience to date within the aesthetic industry. Before your Botox appointment is scheduled, we will arrange to sit you down for a free consultation and a nice cup of coffee, as this will allow us to ensure that you can make a fully informed decision before going ahead with the anti-wrinkle treatment. If you book well in advance, there is a good chance that we will be able to schedule the consultation and Botox injections for you back-to-back on the same day, as we are fully aware of how excited many patients are about receiving the treatment, while simply hating the thought of having to wait!

During the Botox consultation, the risks and benefits will be explained to you in detail and you will be able to have any specific queries answered. You will also be told which product is being used and we will ensure that personalised advice and aftercare is provided. An aftercare sheet will also be supplied just in case you forget everything that you're told whilst you're caught up in the excitement of getting rid of those wrinkles!

2. Do Botox injections hurt? Rest assured, anti-wrinkle Botox injections are virtually pain free. There is no need for any topical numbing agent, although if requested this can be carried out. The vast majority of our clients find that they have no need for the application of any numbing cream. The needles that we use to administer the Botox are tiny, and the treatment literally takes minutes! 3. When will I see results from the Botox injections? Results are NOT immediate. Results are seen in approximately 3-14 days. A review appointment will be booked for 14 days after your initial treatment date. At this review, the treatment site will be reviewed to monitor the effectiveness of the results. If necessary, a 'top up' may be given. This is all included in the initial cost.

4. How long will the results last?

The results from the Botox injections will typically last approximately 3-6 months, however, individual results will vary depending on lifestyle and facial expression. Many clients attend the Allure clinic every 4-6 months in order to successfully maintain the results.

5. Ok.. so what is the cost of Botox injections? Prices are:

£150 x 1 area

£200 x 2 areas £250 x 3 areas
